To test whether the sound has elements of distress, you should keep the tweeters in view.
If birds hang on to the tweeter then the sound probably does not contain distress sound but if birds suddenly veer away from tweeter then the chances of distress sound is high. eg. distress sound will call a lot of birds but it'll also make birds leave your BH if played in the BH.
You can also do the same playing from the in/out hole, window type. Then observe, You can actually see the difference in relaxed and frightened birds.
