ReplyDeleteThis morning, this sound is not attracted many birds but some birds kiss hex tweeters and entered into bazooka. Maybe wrong time! I would grade as B sound (A,B,C,D)
ReplyDeleteI tried with Entrance hole birds ... I notice birds attracted with hexagon pooling and eventually dive in to Eh .. Good news is at least now we now birds responding to this sound recording.. Any one else tried this using EH!

After seeking some real experience Bh owner advise , plus with my observation i came to understand that one of the factor why this birds responding in mixed mood especially in december .
ReplyDeleteThis is based on the consideration many of our birds who are willing to make nest by now should have completed their nest , as for the eggs majority should already turn into baby birds..
as the results , we might not be seeing our own birds active respond in the afternoon where birds so busy fly in and out. feeding their love one and preparing nest like in oct and november.. So to comfort myself i prepared to accept this consideration and move on with no wow birds respond effects..
HOWEVER, my next question is , if all our baby birds already ready to fly WHERE DO THEY GO? Where do our OWN birds GO? WHy Not my location birds and their baby birds FLY TO MY BH?? Hmm.. Something really need to look into!
Is it the SOUND? Is it our Entrance hole Light that encourage this birds fly home late? Or is it OUR BH been to Predictable nothing NEW ?
To work on this I decided to Install a new pipe powered by a water pump .. Blast it like a water fall! Hopefully this will bring some light to my Evening Crowd since my bh have been suffering from average own birds crowd!

WHERE DO THEY GO on Dec? I went to each floor and check: Lots of birds, more than normal, are inside! On evening, mature Birds still come home at exact time and amount.
ReplyDeleteIn order to keep young bird stay, I was thinking we should play colony sound on Dec. Does Colony sound keep birds stay/come back in our BH instead of neighbor's BH?
Colony sound is more like environment sound.. to lure young new birds to feel more secure to stay .. however, nesting birds may think the other way around , many nesting new couples prefer to have their own spot , more privacy.. so this again will result in mix result.. We just need to balance this scenario by changing the colony to normal internal sound at the right moment... Another good benefits to have colony sound is it may also increase the percentage of our own young birds remain in our bh..
DeleteReferring back to the your area birds still giving wow effects .. based on your info i think something must be wrong with my Location and my BH although the birds around my bh also seems to be very quite.. The numbers of birds in the night actually increased but i just don't get the wow effects like before mostly around my own birds. btw Thanks for the info Boss Binh , Now i seriously need to re investigate what is the main cause towards my BH slowdown!!

ReplyDeleteMy 700 nest bh has no effect too. Seems like the swiftlets are not around. Even i used good sounds also no swiftlets. Will continue to monitor and update.
Tested E21 6pm+ they follow the sound source come and pass away only ..

ReplyDeleteTested E21 at 3.30pm today.
Initial response was vary satisfactory, abt 15 birds came and played above open roof.... some even performed the diving routine.
Birds also tend to play in roving room for longer time.
Thumbs up, recommend wiki to pursue further in this project.
Will monitor again tomorrow.
have you try mimpi walet putih .. must try the evening results is crazy .. and best part instantly i notice increase in many birds still staying in my bh now! hopefully this birds will stay overnight not just fly away later.. check out the video

From the video, it looks very successful in getting the birds to come. Getting them to stay is another matter. At least it's half the job done.
Today, I tested EH, some birds hung above tweeters and many others dive into EH.
ReplyDeleteTested E21 morning and evening yesterday. No effect. However, my other songs also no effect LOL! So not sure what is going on. May be it is one of those empty days ie no birds to be seen anywhere including established neighbours BH.
ReplyDeletee21 is still in a very beginning stage of evolving.. look at this sound you should be able to break down the sound loop .. which i am trying to work on... however, just feel a bit challenging to get the best of this new calling loop ... moreover, the birds respond behaviour is still under recovery although i already started to feel the big crowd started to respond to my new set of 6 external sound medley..
Deleteas for malaysian i think within today or day after tomorrow the birds should be back in action.. so make up your mind , select the right EH sound you want for your EH .. in event you wanted to test out sound, try use your second EH if any otherwise just try with your hexagon... .
To ease your consideration in choosing the EH for your bh, ask yourself , since the swiftlet start ignoring sound which of the sound you had tested able to attract birds performing dive in effects , even it is only few birds but it is okay..
Segment down your sound choice and now try to make some sense out it.. HEXAGON go for Mating EH prefer less mating.. you do not want your birds too busy chasing each other! ..

Tested today again , 6pm+ they play and have dive effect , the only thing is cant make they stay longer , 1 more i noticed that new sound recording able to call them come from far and not a dive , pls correct me if im wrong ~ :)
ReplyDeleteif you break down e21 you should get loop by loop of calling sound.. Most important is we should be bless to know that next year we will be looking at a new group of swiftlet recording courtesy and specially contributed by our PHD walet based in Malaysia.. :)
